Based on recent data, the number of centenarians in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the total of men aged 100 or over has grown by 200% from 910 to 3,100. During the same period, the count of female centenarians increased by nearly 100% from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to hear from individuals who have reached 100, their loved ones or friends, about what it has been like to experience the past century’s seismic events and shifts.
